Who we are
Glo Living is a trading name of Glo Kleen Pty Ltd (ABN 23 685 976 854), previously trading as Glo Kleen. We provide in-home care, nursing, disability support, social support, domestic assistance, cleaning, gardening and home maintenance across metropolitan Adelaide, together with commercial cleaning for business clients.
We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Because we deliver personal and clinical care, much of what we hold is health information, which the Act treats as sensitive information and protects more strictly than ordinary personal information. This policy explains what we collect, why, who sees it, where it is stored and what you can do about it.
What we collect
What we hold depends on your relationship with us.
If you enquire through this website
- Your name, phone number and email address.
- Your suburb, if you give it.
- Who the enquiry is for, which services interest you, and your funding type.
- Whatever you choose to write in the message field, and how you prefer to be contacted.
If you become a client
- Contact and address details, and the details of family, carers or representatives you authorise.
- Health and care information: your support needs, relevant medical conditions, medications we prompt or administer, mobility, allergies, risks in the home, and clinical notes made by our nurses.
- Funding information needed to deliver and bill your services, such as aged care, DVA or NDIS details, and your plan manager or support coordinator.
- Service records: visit times, tasks completed, incidents and communications.
If you apply for a job
- Your name, contact details and suburb, the role you want and your availability.
- Your qualifications, work history and your resume if you upload one.
- Whether you hold a driver's licence and vehicle.
- Screening and clearance information where the role requires it, such as police checks and NDIS Worker Screening.
We collect health and other sensitive information only with your consent and only where it is reasonably necessary to deliver your services safely. We collect it from you directly wherever we can. Sometimes it reaches us from someone else, for example a family member arranging care, a support coordinator, a plan manager, an assessor or a hospital discharge team. If that happens we will tell you.
You can deal with us anonymously or under a pseudonym when you are simply making a general enquiry. We cannot deliver care services anonymously, because we need to know who we are supporting and what they need.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiry and explain your options.
- To plan, deliver, supervise and review your services safely.
- To communicate with you, and with family or representatives you have authorised.
- To claim funding and invoice correctly, including to your plan manager or the relevant government program.
- To meet our legal, safety, quality, insurance and record-keeping obligations.
- To recruit, screen and onboard staff.
- To improve our services, and to handle feedback and complaints.
Who we share it with
We disclose personal information only where it is necessary, specifically:
- To our staff and contractors, limited to those who need it to do their job.
- To people you have authorised, such as family members, carers or advocates.
- To your GP, specialists or other health providers where you have asked us to liaise with them about your care.
- To funding bodies, plan managers and support coordinators, for the services they are funding or coordinating.
- To our insurers and professional advisers where genuinely required.
- Where the law requires or permits it, including to prevent a serious threat to someone's life, health or safety, or where mandatory reporting obligations apply.
We do not sell personal information. We do not disclose it for marketing by anyone else. We do not send form submissions to advertising or analytics platforms.
Where your information is stored
Enquiries and job applications submitted through this website are stored in a managed database hosted in Sydney, Australia. Uploaded resumes are held in private storage in the same location and are not publicly accessible. The website itself is served from Australian infrastructure.
One cross-border disclosure applies. When a form is submitted, a notification email is sent to us through an email delivery provider that operates servers in the United States and Japan, which means the contents of that notification pass through overseas servers in transit. Apart from that notification, the personal information you submit through this site is stored in Australia. Client care records are held in our own systems and are not published to this website.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party tracking, and it does not embed content from other sites that would set cookies of their own.
If you close the notice about our change of name from Glo Kleen, your browser keeps one small note of that during your visit so the notice stays closed. This note does not identify you, is never sent to us, and is deleted when you close the tab.
How we protect it
Access is limited to staff who need the information for their role. Our systems use access controls and encryption in transit, and the database that receives website enquiries is configured so that it cannot be read or written to from the public internet: submissions pass through our server, never directly from your browser.
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, or as long as the law requires, whichever is longer. Aged care, disability and health record-keeping obligations mean client and clinical records are generally retained for a number of years after our involvement ends. When information is no longer needed and we are not required to keep it, we destroy or de-identify it.
If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Give you access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete.
- Withdraw a consent you have given, including consent to share with family.
- Stop contacting you about anything other than your active services.
Contact us using the details below. We will ask you to verify your identity, and we will respond within a reasonable period, ordinarily 30 days. Access is free, though we may charge a reasonable cost for retrieving and copying a large volume of records. If we cannot give you access or make a correction, we will explain why in writing.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please tell us first. Contact us on (08) 7428 9000 or at hello@gloliving.com.au and we will acknowledge your complaint, investigate it and respond in writing, ordinarily within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992. If your concern relates to aged care or disability services more broadly, you can also contact the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission or the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
